The Most Powerful Truck Coming to Russia

General importer of Mercedes-Benz trucks and special trucks DK RUS OOO presented in Russia Actros 2663 LS with the most powerful of Mercedes-Benz engines in Russia for the first time. The Timbermash Baikal company, the official dealer of John Deere, bought the truck.

Timbermash has been DK RUS's partner for 7 years with two Actros 2651 LS and 3351 S tractor heads in the fleet that transport heavy logging and agricultural vehicles. The vehicles run across all Russia and their current mileage is 1 mio km.

The new Actros 2663 LS will be used for transporting of heavy and oversize vehicles. It has ОМ473 engine with 15,569 cubic m of engine displacement, and up to 625 h.p. (460 kW). 3,000 Nm torque with 1,100 rpm allows highly efficient truck operation. X-Pulse system allows 2,700 bar of fuel injection pressure, which supports efficient fuel combustion in a cylinder reduced fuel consumption by up to 7% compared to the previous engine generation.

Additional fuel efficiency is achieved via the system of pressure and temperature control in tires, turbocompound and aerodynamic qualities of the cabin. Pressure control in tires helps to reduce up to 2% of fuel consumption.

The new Mercedes PowerShift 3 with the improved shifting strategy saves up to 3% and is standard for all MB trucks.

Retarder combined with the high efficiency engine brake ensures even and sustainable brake power up to 800 kW equal to 1,088 h.p. and stability on road, including mountain roads with high gradients. Retarder helps to increase service life of brake pads and discs, thus saving spare part and repairs costs.

Mercedes-Benz Actros 2663 LS for Timbermash Baikal has 6x4 wheel arrangement and 28 t of total weight. Gross vehicle weight is 120 t; the vehicle has BigSpace L cabin 2.5 m of width and 1.99, of internal height.

The cabin has an even floor, ventilated seats with increased cushion width, and comfortable bed. BigSpace L cabin meets the modern ergonomics and safety criteria. It is spacious and has plenty of storage compartments.
