At bauma exhibition, construction and industrial equipment manufacturer GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co. KG received an order for a prestigious project in Murmansk, Russia. A total of 16 lifts for the operation of GEDA 2 PK tower cranes will participate in the construction of several lines for the production of Arctic LNG 2 liquefied natural gas.

Arctic LNG 2 is a megaproject. Promising is not only the project itself, but also the equipment used in construction. With the support of NTS GRPM LLC, the Danish crane manufacturer Krøll Cranes provides 16 cranes with GEDA 2 PK hoists. To date, eight units of equipment have already been delivered in Murmansk.
GEDA 2 PK delivers the operator to the country as soon as possible and, above all, safely. Therefore, not scary, but risky, grueling climbs, often in bad weather conditions. A flexible system allows you to install the hoist in any type of crane with a standard height of up to 150 m.
A sectional ladder made of aluminum weighing 22 kg is mounted. Stairs are easily mounted if they are bolted using a proprietary quick fix system.
The overall concept of the GEDA 2 PK offers ample security options: opening the cab opens up small security options. Overspeed brake ensures safe transport. Electrical safety devices prevent operator errors.

It was established that in order to ensure compliance with the objectives of GEDA, close cooperation with the customer is required in order to exactly match the objectives of the megaproject. In particular, all equipment meets the special requirements of extreme temperatures. All lifts are used in versions for a lifting height of 120 m. For the stair sections GEDA and Krøll intentionally use aluminum, since the flexible material optimally compensates for the natural movements of the crane.
