The Procurement Office of the Federal Ministry of the Interior placed orders for 950 vehicles of various categories built on the MAN chassis.

As part of several tenders held in 2017 and 2018, MAN Truck & Bus, Germany, as well as Freytag Karosseriebau GmbH & Co. KG received most of the orders for 950 vehicles for THW Technical Assistance from the Procurement Office of the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI).

178 vehicles with technical equipment are the well-proven MAN TGM 18.290 with 4x4 all-wheel drive, with spring suspension on the front and rear axles, a double cab and a wheelbase of 4200 mm.

Part of the total batch of 152 dump trucks with 3-way unloading MAN TGS 18.420 is equipped with crane arms.

210 vehicles for technical assistance personnel, MAN TGM 18.290, with a double cab and an awning superstructure, are based on a 4x4 chassis with spring suspension on the front and rear axles. The supply of these vehicles will start in 2019.

The transfer to customers of 400 multifunctional vehicles based on the 4x4 MAN TGM 18.290 chassis equipped with leaf springs will begin in 2020.
