XCMG introduced several new models of road construction equipment: the XM1205F road milling machine, the XS163 soil compactor, the XD120 road roller, the RP355 and RP505 asphalt pavers.

The XM1205F road milling machine is a high-performance machine for removing old layers of asphalt and concrete pavement of the middle class with a front conveyor arrangement, the working width is 1.2 meters, and the Shangchai engine with an increased power of 192kW provides a milling depth of up to 30 cm.

The rear position of the drum causes high maneuverability of the machine, and the tracked undercarriage with anti-skid function provides good traction characteristics on any surface and gives high stability in operation. Four hydraulic support columns ensure the horizontal position of the road milling machine both in the transport and in the working position. Additionally, the rear right column has the function of turning for the size of the car.

The milling drum with a new distance between the lines of the cutters of 18 mm has an optimized tool arrangement, low milling resistance, which ensures high work efficiency and less wear of the cutters.

The brand new SCS electronic control system supports a variety of automatic functions, and its interface displays the milling depth, engine parameters, fault information and other machine parameters in real time. The multi-page display displays information about all parameters of various systems, including machine malfunctions, as well as information about the volume of milled material, the working distance traveled, maintenance, etc. Additionally, a high-precision automatic leveling system MOBA manufactured in Germany is installed on the road milling machine.

The well-proven the XS163 all-wheel soil compactor weighing 16 tons in 2021 received an updated hydraulic stroke system. The high-performance hydraulic pump, coupled with a reinforced rear axle gearbox, made it possible to increase traction characteristics and the maximum climb to be overcome by up to 50%. In addition, a flow divider has been added to the hydraulic circuit, allowing the operator to forcibly redistribute the torque between the roller and the rear wheels to prevent slipping. Thus, this reinforced paver copes perfectly with compaction of such complex low-bearing soils as sand or clay.

In addition, all the distinctive features of the model are preserved in the design. The design of the roller has improvements compared to the traditional scheme, such as two additional supports in the middle part, which makes it possible to achieve the most uniform distribution of the vibration load across the width of the roller, and hence a more uniform compaction. Additionally, this scheme allows you to install 4 roller bearings of the vibrating shaft (instead of two ball bearings in the classical design) and thus halve the load on them, which increases the service life of the vibration mechanism to 10 000 hours or more.

In order to fully meet the modern requirements of customers, the roller can be additionally equipped with a sealing process control system. As an element base, the customer can choose equipment either made in China or developed by MOBA company.

XCMG presented a completely new series of parapet mini rollers in 2022. The first model was the XD120 roller weighing 2.85 tons. It has a modern recognizable design of XCMG 5th generation machines. Updated controls and ergonomics of the operator's platform, dual multifunctional joysticks and a weather canopy in the basic configuration provide increased comfort in work. The model is available in two variations, and the customer, depending on the tasks and preferences, can choose either a two-roll or a combined version with four pneumatic tires on the rear axle.

The design of the machine implements the most complete functionality to meet the needs of the most demanding customers. The dual-mode vibration mechanism is ideal for compacting layers of asphalt or a soil cushion of various thicknesses, and the increased frequency of vibration allows you to work faster. The automatic vibration control function will prevent damage to the structure of the material due to vibration when the machine stops, and the possibility of a ‘crab’ stroke will facilitate work close to the curbs or at the joints. Two speed ranges and a hydraulic braking system ensure convenience and safety while driving.

The improved interval irrigation system with a 200-liter high-volume water tank protects the ramp and injectors from mechanical influences and wind, which, together with a European-made water pump, increases the reliability and reliability of the roller in real conditions when working on medium and large objects.

The generational change continues in the model range of XCMG asphalt pavers. The compact model RP355 was presented at the trade fair. The working body of the machine, equipped with electric heating and a ramming bar, allows laying a strip with a width of 0.5 to 3.5 meters, which, coupled with minimal dimensions, causes unsurpassed versatility. The asphalt will be indispensable for indoor work, for example, when asphalting underground or multi-tiered parking lots, when working on sidewalks, when restoring the coating after laying communications or inside the track of rail transport.

Compared to the previous model, the design has undergone many improvements. The enlarged hopper has the function of independently folding the flaps, as well as adjusting their upper parts for the possibility of accepting material directly from a standard dump truck. Due to the maximum length in the class, the tracked undercarriage is characterized by increased adhesion to the surface and traction characteristics. The speed of the material supply system and the diameter of the augers have been increased. All this brings the overall efficiency of the machine and the quality of the result to the highest level in its class.

The asphalt paver control system deserves special attention. The electronic control system based on the Bosch processor has many automatic functions, and its multi-page color display displays all information, including the operation parameters of all systems, self-diagnosis of malfunctions, service information. The controls are concentrated on a separate console, which can be used as a remote control to control the paver from the ground.

Another novelty in the model range of asphalt pavers is the RP505 model. This machine is an urban class machine and is capable of laying a layer of material up to 28 cm thick with a strip width of 0.8–5 meters. The stacker has compact dimensions: the width is only 2 m, and the length is 5.8 m, which allows you to work comfortably in narrow alleys and courtyards. On the other hand, with a maximum width of the smoothing plate of 5 m, the machine is also suitable for installing and updating coatings on the roadway in urban conditions.

Like the entire XCMG line of asphalt pavers, this machine is specially designed for laying base layers made of stabilized inert materials, such as chipboard or skinny concrete, having a high specific gravity and increased abrasiveness. The engine has sufficient power reserve to ensure traction characteristics, and all elements that have contact with the material, including conveyors, augers and the bottom plate of the smoothing plate, have increased thickness and are made of special wear-resistant alloys.

A large hopper with an optimized design with a capacity of 12 tons provides increased working time between admixtures and has independent control of the shutters for ease of operation in turns or when unbalanced laying. Conveyors and augers with an increased diameter of 340 mm have an independent drive on both sides and ensure the supply of the required amount of material when laying strips of maximum width, effectively reducing the effect of material segregation.

A new generation intelligent electronic control system based on the CAN bus tires and several Bosch processors ensures closer human-computer interaction, reduces operator fatigue and increases work efficiency.
